Fallout 76 Survival

Bethesda is still working to undo much of the damage that Fallout 76’s recent patch caused the game. It applied a hotfix to boost the drop rate of Legendary items and has been dealing with a litany of bugs. Another hotfix went live yesterday and added another good change, this time to Survival mode.

Previously, the top 3 players in a match would be highlighted on the map, thus allowing everyone to see their locations. While these players will still be on the scoreboard so you can compare stats, they’ll no longer be visible on the map. This goes a long way to ensure that top players aren’t punished for playing well.

As for Legendary drop rates, Bethesda confirmed that they were still dropping “at a lower than intended rate in the world”. The development team is working on a fix and will require a few more days to fix things. But it will inform players once the drop rates have been restored to normal.

Fallout 76 will also be present at QuakeCon 2019 over the weekend with the developer presenting more details on upcoming updates like Wastelanders. So stay tuned for more information.
