Vostok Games has announced that it will be launching its battle royale title Fear the Wolves on August 28th for Steam Early Access. Created by veterans of S.T.A.L.K.E.R., Fear the Wolves was delayed from its previous launch date in order to further refine performance and balancing via closed beta. Check out the latest trailer below.

With a Steam Early Access release, Vostok Games will now focus on garnering feedback from a wider audience. The game itself features intriguing mechanics like extraction, radiation, PvE, and weather, on top of the tropes of battle royale.

Regular content updates have been promised, with a new map and mode seemingly on the horizon, along with new mutants, weapons, and items. A full development timeline will also be provided in the coming days. Fear the Wolves is still slated to release fully in 2019 for consoles and PC. If you’re wary of taking the plunge but want to keep an eye on the game nonetheless, especially with so many battle royale titles present and coming, bookmark the Steam page and keep track with its progress here.
