Square Enix has announced that the first major expansion for its MMO Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn will be going live on June 23rd. Of course, those who pre-order the expansion pack ahead of time – with orders opening up on March 16th – will have early access on June 19th.

Heavensward arrives after the “Before the Fall” content updates and will include quite the range of things to do. There will be brand new locations to explore with the Holy See of Ishgard and Dravania along with a new storyline detailing the Dragonsong War. You can also craft airships to find different floating continents.

Did we mention a new raid, new loot, three new jobs and a brand new race? Apparently the game has so much content that director Naoki Yoshida and Square Enix are considering it more of a standalone release.

Will you be picking up Heavensward when it releases on PC, PS3 and PS4? Let us know in the comments.
