Final Fantasy 14 - Growing Light Part 2

Final Fantasy 14’s next expansion, Dawntrail, is still several months away. Those who want new content sooner can look forward to an update next week. Patch 6.55, Growing Light Part 2, will be available on January 16th for PS4, PS5 and PC.

According to the official website, it will add new side quests for Tataru’s Grand Endeavor and Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures. There will also be new Manderville Weapons Quests and Endwalker Tribal Alliance Quests. Other content and changes could also be included, so stay tuned for further details when the patch goes live.

Square Enix also has yet to confirm when the open beta for the Xbox Series X/S version will go live (beyond the vague patch 6.5X window). The game and all its expansions arrive this Spring for the platform, with Dawntrail launching this Summer. A release date for the expansion hasn’t been announced – head here for director/producer Naoki Yoshida’s explanation on why.
