Final Fantasy 14 Shadowbringers

In case the cavalcade of free titles this month wasn’t enough, it’s been announced that Twitch Prime users will receive Square Enix’s Final Fantay 14: A Realm Reborn for free. This is only the Starter Edition of the game, but it lets you play up to level 50 with a free 30 day subscription to start with. Download by May 3rd, and it’s yours to keep (though the subscription must continuously be renewed).

Simply head to Twitch’s website and click on Prime Loot if you’re already subscribed. Additional content like Heavensward and Stormblood will still need to be purchased if you want the latest content. Still, the initiative is good for getting players into the game’s next expansion, Shadowbringers, which releases on July 2nd.

Along with new dungeons, continents, and familiar races like the Viera, Shadowbringers also touts the Gunbreaker class. This class will provide access to Gunblades, an iconic weapon used by Final Fantasy 8’s Squall Leonheart. If that wasn’t enough, there will be a series of raids dubbed “YoRHa: Dark Apocalypse” designed by Yoko Taro and tying into Nier: Automata.
