Final Fantasy 14 Stormbringers

Following numerous content updates to Final Fantasy 14: A Realm Reborn post-Stormblood (like Prelude in Violet and the recent Monster Hunter World collaboration), Square Enix recently announced its next big expansion. Shadowbringers will be the MMO’s third major expansion, and is due to release in early Summer 2019. Check out the teaser trailer below.

As with previous expansions, Shadowbringers boasts a ton of new content. A new player race, numerous new jobs, new areas to explore, and combat adjustments are a given. However, players can also use the World Visit System to visit other servers, as long as they’re on the same data centre. There will also be a New Game Plus mode to allow players to re-experience the base game’s stories.

If that weren’t enough, an NPC “Trust” system is also being implemented, which lets you fight alongside key NPCs. An increased level cap, new content for battles, crafting and gathering, and much more have also been confirmed. On the whole, if you’re a fan of Final Fantasy 14, there’s no stopping the hype train yet. Stay tuned for more information on Shadowbringers in the coming months.
