At PAX East 2023, the development team for Final Fantasy 16 unveiled some new footage for the upcoming action RPG. The latest trailer outlines the different locations that protagonist Clive Rosfield will travel to in Valisthea. Check it out below.

Along with sprawling plains and war-torn towns, the player ventures into caverns with crystals and lava. There are ancient ruins to explore, created by The Fallen, a civilization that existed before the game’s events, and a vast crater with waterfalls and a lake in the centre. Of course, players won’t have to make the entire journey on foot as Chocobos are available. You’ll also be squeezing through gaps, as is tradition, regardless of the environment.

There are six major regions to explore in Final Fantasy 16, each with its controlling power and Dominant. With the Mothercrystals slowly fading and the Blight spreading, war threatens to engulf Valisthea. We’ll see how it all plays out when the game launches on June 22nd for PS5. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
