If you thought Final Fantasy 7 Remake demanded tons of Gil, then Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth begs to differ. Items, weapons, Queen’s Blood packs – there’s a lot to buy, and sometimes, it can feel like you don’t have enough. Fortunately, there are some quick and easy ways to farm Gil.

How to Farm Gil

Kill Enemies on Easy Difficulty

Head to Gameplay and Difficulty Settings to choose Easy mode. Slay enemies by the dozens to get Gil (and maybe some items) since you’ll obtain the same amount from enemies regardless of difficulty. Equip the Gil Up Materia since it boosts the Gil earned in combat by 100 percent.

Sell Equipment and Materia

Crafting items is essential to raise your Craftsmanship level, but that doesn’t mean you should hang on to them. If they’re weaker than your current gear, sell them to a vendor. Selling Materia isn’t advised since you never know what could be good in future encounters, but if you’re absolutely sure, rank them up first to get more Gil in the process.

Complete Odd Jobs

Throughout the journey, Odd Jobs will come up and offer Gil as part of the rewards. Lifeline in Peril from Chapter 3 grants a whopping 3,000 Gil, for example, and they’re also ideal for raising Affinity with different party members.

Farming Combat Assignments

Combat Assignments offer more challenging enemies like Fiends to battle. Not only do they provide extensive amounts of Gil, but also an extensive amount of XP. Best of all, you can farm them endlessly. If you’re strong enough to deal with lesser enemies, switch to Combat Assignments for more gains.

Stealing and Selling Levrikon Celeris

In Chapter 2, Levrikons can be discovered in the Grassland Area’s marshes. Equip the Steal Materia (easily purchased from the vending machines) and steal Celeris from them. You can then sell them for about 500 Gil each. Though the XP won’t be as worthwhile as Combat Assignments, it’s faster and better when you’re still underpowered.
