Square Enix has kicked off a new video series for Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, focusing on the development of the game. The first episode is out now, and you can check it out below. Clocking in at almost 15 minutes, the episode focuses on how the developers went about creating the game’s expansive world.

Titled Shaping the World, the first episode of the Inside Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth series features a host of different developers that worked on the game, including game director Naoki Hamaguchi, creative director Tetsuya Nomura, music supervisor Keiji Kawamori, lighting director Iichiro Yamaguchi, and facial director Akira Iwasawa, among many others.

Released back in February, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has proven to be quite successful for Square Enix. A recent report revealed that the RPG was among the best-selling games in the US for the month of February. For more details about the game, check out our review.

While the studio is likely busy working on improving the game’s performance, Hamaguchi has previously stated that he wants to consider expanding the in-game mini-game Queen’s Blood with additional content down the line.

Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth is currently available on PS5.
