Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade (2)

Square Enix’s Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade is out today along with new story DLC, Episode INTERmission. If you own the PS4 version, then good news – the option to upgrade to the PS5 version is now available free. Simply head to the PlayStation Store and locate Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade. Then choose the three dots next to the title which says “Upgrade for PS4 version owners.”

If you own the disc-based version, then you’ll need to insert the disc in order to upgrade. If you claimed the PS4 version through PlayStation Store, then terrible news – you can’t avail of the free upgrade. To see what improvements Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade has to offer over the base PS4 version, head here.

Those upgrading from the PS4 version will need to purchase Episode INTERmission separately. Coming in at under 9 GB, the DLC stars Yuffie Kisaragi as she infiltrates Midgar to steal some powerful Materia from Shinra. Along with new Materia and summons, players will also contend with new enemies and bosses. Episode INTERmission costs $20 and is included with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on PS5 (which costs $70).
