Major new information might be emerging soon.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake might be closer to launch than we’ve all been figuring- there’s certainly been a whole lot more information on it that there’s been in years, and we’re getting more of it at E3, too. And if a new retailer listing is anything to go by, it might be announced for the Xbox One as well.

Though it was originally announced as a PS4 exclusive, Final Fantasy 7 Remake has now been listed by GameStop Ireland for the Xbox One as well. Of course, this shouldn’t be taken as an official announcement by any means- retailer listings can end up being a sign of things to come, but just as often, they can be inaccurate as well, so take it with a grain of salt.

Meanwhile, a tweet from Kotaku’s Jason Schreier may have clued us into the release date of Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s first episode as well. Schreier stated in a tweet that based on what he’s heard, Final Fantasy 7 Remake’s first episode will be out in the first half of 2020. This, too, isn’t official by any means, but a man with Schreier’s track record certainly has a great deal of credibility.

We should find out soon enough either way, hopefully. If reports are to be believed, we’ll be seeing gameplay of Final Fantasy 7 Remake at E3– while other reports claim we might even get a demo right afterward. There’s been other information arising out of a potential leak as well- take a look through here.
