Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster

Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster will release on April 19th for PS4 and Nintendo Switch. Available for PC, iOS and Android, it consists of remasters for Final Fantasy 1 to 6, retaining the beloved pixel art style while adding quality-of-life improvements. Check out the trailer below to see it in action.

Pre-orders are live on the Nintendo eShop (later today for the PlayStation Store), and you can purchase each game separately or in a bundle for $74.99. The pricing differs for each, though. Final Fantasy 1 and 2 cost $11.99 each, while Final Fantasy 3, 4, 5 and 6 are $17.99 a piece.

What can long-time fans expect? The soundtrack offers new orchestral arrangements, but you can switch back to the original. A new pixel-based font is available along with the regular font; you can disable random encounters; and even quadruple the experience gained. Stay tuned for more details when the collection is released later this month.
