Foamstars

Square Enix’s Foamstars is set to receive new information on January 16th at 6 AM PST. The publisher didn’t indicate what it could be, but a release window is possible, especially since it’s announced for early 2024.

Announced for PS4 and PS5, the party shooter sees two teams of four competing in online matches. Players spray foam on the map, with multiple characters having unique abilities and can traverse it. Smash the Stars involves taking down seven players and becoming the Star Player, which the opposing team must eliminate.

Happy Bath Survival sees two players in the arena and two outside. The former must knock their opponent out, while the latter can support their allies over three rounds. The first team to win two rounds cinches the match. It’s unknown if these are the only two modes in the game.

Foamstars had an open beta last September, so it remains to be seen if another occurs before launch. Stay tuned for updates later today.
