Luminous Productions’ Forspoken may have a large world to explore and an extensive campaign, but it’s still very much an RPG. You earn XP to level up, collect Mana to unlock and upgrade Spells, and gather materials for gear. Spells also have challenges where you must fulfill an objective – like hitting enemies ten times, dealing a certain amount of damage to an enemy and so on.

Best Location to Farm Spellcraft Challenges

You can have up to three Spellcraft Challenges active at a given time. Once complete, the Spell’s power is boosted. The best way to farm Spell Challenges is to find areas with relatively weak enemies, like Break Zombies.

The canyon southwest of the Dianthus Wood Refuge is a good place. In Chapter 4, en route to fighting Tanta Sila, you’ll pass through The Guardian’s Way region. Travel east of the Guardians’ Way Belfry, and you’ll reach the canyon. There are tons of Break Zombies here, and they respawn, making them a prime target for farming Spellcraft Challenges. Some challenges, like Scatter Shot’s Level 1 challenge, are best used on bosses or tougher enemies, so keep that in mind.

Best Location to Farm XP and Mana

Spotted by CeaseNY on Reddit, this location is available pretty early on. Go southeast of Cipal, and you’ll find a place teeming with tons of Break Zombies. Save and reload your game to make them respawn. By doing this, you can quickly earn XP to level up and Mana to unlock spells.

MrFittsworth on Reddit also found a spot in Avoalet at the north end where gators reside. Kill them all, fast-travel to a nearby safe house and return to farm them for XP and Mana.

Best Method to Farm Breakshards

Breakshards are just one material discovered in Forspoken but are necessary for upgrading Frey’s gear and adding new effects. There are five kinds – Leaden, Fervid, Lucid, Lambent and Welkin – and they come in Clusters and Blooms. The latter is a higher level of Breakshard material. These materials drop from various enemies, but there’s an easy way to farm them without running around too much.

First, unlock the Modify Spell – this allows converting a type of Breakshard into a different kind. Use it at the crafting table 15 times to improve it. Next, learn Rarify, which allows for increasing the rarity of Breakshards. For example, you can combine two Leaden Clusters into a Leaden Bloom. Do this 20 times to improve the Rarify Spell.

Now all you have to do is go to the previously mentioned farming spots and kill the Break Zombies or gators. Obtain the Breakshard in bulk and use Modify and Rarify to convert and combine them.

Resources like Anglestone can be obtained by completing Flashbacks. For example, “A Bridge Too Far,” grants five Anglestone and six Mana when you 36,000 Score for the highest rating. It’s pretty quick to complete, and you can continuously farm it for Anglestone. Check out the locations for all other Flashbacks in the video below from 100% Guides to farm other materials.

None of the above methods are cheats so much as exploiting game mechanics for a quick boost, so don’t worry. Forspoken is available for PS5 and PC. Check out our review here for more details. You can also head here for more tips on earning XP faster.
