We’ve sung high praises of Forza Horizon 5 since its launch here at GamingBolt. Not only did we give it a glowing review, we also crowned it as our Game of the Year for 2021, and the open world racer has been the recipient of similar praise from critics and audiences in large numbers.
Earlier this month, we reported that the game had attracted over 15 million players since its launch in November last year, and unsurprisingly, Microsoft has now confirmed that that number has climbed a little higher. In Microsoft’s recent earnings call, CEO Satya Nadella confirmed that Forza Horizon 5 has amassed over 18 million players since launch.
With this and with Halo Infinite having crossed 20 million players, it’s clearly been a good couple of months for Xbox first party on all fronts. As usual, Microsoft hasn’t provided exact sales figures, but that’s to be expected, what with the game being available via Game Pass as well.
Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC.
