Rumours of Forza Horizon 5’s first expansion have been doing the rounds for a couple of months, even though Playground Games and Microsoft haven’t released any details on that front so far, and it seems we now have more info on what to expect from the new content that’ll be added to the widely acclaimed open world racer.

As spotted by @Wario64 on Twitter, Forza Horizon 5’s first expansion is going to be Hot Wheels-themed. That’s according to a banner image that was updated to the game’s Steam page, before promptly being taken down.

Forza Horizon has a long association with Hot Wheels, of course. Forza Horizon 3 had a Hot Wheels-themed expansion, and though Forza Horizon 4 went the LEGO route for its own expansion, it did eventually add Hot Wheels cars in a DLC pack after launch as well.

With the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase coming up on June 12, there’s a strong chance that this expansion will be announced very soon.

Forza Horizon 5 is available on Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC. The game recently crossed the 20 million players milestone.
