Gamescom Opening Night Live Will Feature Over 30 Games

New game reveals, updates on the "most anticipated games" and "other surprises" have been promised for the show on August 25th.

Gamescom returns next week in an all-digital format and like recent years, it will be kicked off by Gamescom Opening Night Live, hosted by Geoff Keighley (with GameStar’s Natascha Becker as co-host). In a new press release, it was announced that over 30 games would be presented at the show. Along with new game reveals, there will be updates on “the most anticipated games” along with “other surprises with guests on stage.”

Gamescom Opening Night Live broadcasts on August 25th at 10:30 AM PST and will run for two hours. On August 26th at 11:30 AM PST to 1 PM PST, IGN will present Gamescom: Awesome Indies which sees around 40 indie titles being showcased. These include trailer presentations and “new launches” along with some “comedy bits and other surprises.”

The expo ends on August 27th and from 10 AM PST to 3 PM PST, IGN will premiere different trailers, analyses of previous announcements and gameplay deep dives. Other shows confirmed for the week include Xbox’s Gamescom showcase on August 24th at 10 AM PT and the Future Games Show on August 26th at 1 PM PT. Techland has also confirmed a Gamescom Edition for Dying 2 Know where it will reveal more details on the combat and parkour in Dying Light 2 Stay Human.
