Best Xbox 360 Game:

The Xbox 360 might have seen a great year sales-wise, but in terms of exclusives it was severely outmatched by the PlayStation 3. It has been host to a share of great third party games though and whether you like it or not, it’s still the most popular platform for Call of Duty: Ghosts (for now). That being said, does overwhelming third party support get the nod or the last sliver of originality that we may see on the console in the next few years?

Nominees:

– State of Decay

– Gears of War: Judgment

– Tomb Raider

– GTA V

– Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag

Winner: State of Decay

55. State of Decay

Face it – State of Decay is perhaps the only really good open world zombie game out there at present emphasizing survival, managing survivors and switching out when necessary, gathering resources and being prepared for zombie horde. That being said, it’s a very good game in general, with some very solid writing and visuals. Did we mention you can double foot stomp zombies on the head and splatter their brains all over the place? Dump every other zombie trope you know from enormous zombies to screaming zombies and State of Decay gets our vote for the Best Xbox 360 of the year. Markus Gormley!
