Gears of War: E-Day on PC Requires an RTX 5070 Ti, Launches With DLSS 4.5 and Ultrawide Support

Even with top-of-the-line hardware, The Coalition's third-person shooter still requires an upscaler to hit 4K/60+ FPS on Ultra settings.

Alongside announcing that Gears of War: E-Day has gone gold (and revealing its Achievements), The Coalition detailed the final PC specifications. It includes the hardware requirements for Ultra, including an Intel Core i7-14700K or an AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, 16 GB of RAM and either an Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti or a Radeon RX 7900 XT.

This is enough to net 4K and 60+ frames per second on the same settings, but naturally, there’s a catch. You’ll need to use Nvidia DLSS, AMD FSR, TSR or Intel XeSS to achieve those figures. Of course, there’s no doubt that ray tracing is factored in – GPUs that don’t support it straight up won’t run the game.

As with other configurations, you’ll need 115 GB of installation space, which is fairly sizable. DLSS 4.5, FSR 4.0, and Intel XeSS 3.0t will be supported on day one alongside HDR and Ultrawide monitors. There are also advanced graphical settings and a benchmark tool to get the most out of your hardware (in theory).

Gears of War: E-Day launches on October 6th for Xbox Series X/S and PC, but Premium Edition owners can start playing on October 1st. Pre-loads begin on September 29th at 8 AM PST.
