Genshin Impact Teaser Details Ayaka’s Backstory

Part of the Yashiro Commission, Ayaka is as skilled in tea ceremonies and calligraphy as the katana. She'll launch with the Update 2.0 on July 21st.

Genshin Impact - Update 2.0

With a big new update on the horizon for Genshin Impact, miHoYo Games has released a new character teaser for Kamisato Ayaka. As the Shirasagi Himegimi of the Yashiro Commission, Ayaka has been raised to embrace dignity and tradition. Her talents include calligraphy, tea ceremonies, studying the arts and mastering the blade.

Due to her strict upbringing though, Ayaka hasn’t really had the opportunity to indulge in festivals and the like. Things seemingly change when the Traveler comes to the Inazuma region and offers to accompany her. Of course, players will also need to investigate the Electro Archon which Ayaka and other new characters like Yoimiya and Sayu will help with.

Genshin Impact’s 2.0 update goes live on July 21st and adds three of Inazuma’s six islands. It will also add cross-save among PS4, PS5, PC and other platforms along with improved tactile feedback on the DualSense.
