Genshin Impact - Hu Tao

Hu Tao is Genshin Impact’s newest character, arriving today as part of the latest character banner. She’s quirky, which seems at odds with her job as Wangsheng Funeral Parlor’s director, but offers more than enough powerful tools for combat. Check out the latest trailer breaking down her abilities and passives below.

Along with a unique sprint that lets her disappear and pass through enemies, Hu Tao can sacrifice some of her health to imbue attacks with Pyro damage. Her charged attack in this state can imbue enemies with a mark that deals Pyro damage over time. There’s even a passive ability which increased Pyro damage dealt as her HP drops.

Her Elemental Burst, Spirit Soother, summons a Pyro spirit that can multiple enemies at once. Depending on the number hit and how low her HP is, Hu Tao will regenerate health. Up to five enemies can be hit in this fashion. So overall, her playstyle is a careful management of health in exchange for big damage.

Genshin Impact is currently available for PS4, PC, iOS, and Android. Stay tuned for more details on subsequent characters in the coming months.
