You would think that Sony’s State of Play ended with its heaviest hitters, namely Babylon’s Fall and Resident Evil 3. It had one more announcement in the bag though – a teaser (courtesy of IGN) for Sucker Punch’s open world action title Ghost of Tsushima. We see protagonist Jin Sakai in broad daylight, ready to tear up some foes.
Though the trailer was brief, it’s meant to hype up an appearance at The Game Awards. Ghost of Tsushima will have a world premiere trailer, which TGA creator/host Geoff Keighley noted as being the “longest trailer” on the show. More gameplay and perhaps information on a release window could be inbound on December 12th.
Ghost of Tsushima was initially unveiled in 2017 – it received its first gameplay trailer at E3 2018 but has been seemingly absent since. Rumors abound of a release in the first half of 2020. With a new big trailer coming up, could that be a release date announcement? Stay tuned for more details in the coming days.
Quick aside: This is our longest trailer in the show on Thursday!
