God of War 4: 10 Things We Want To See

Should be on the PS4

With three awesome God of War games this generation in God of War III, Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta, and two HD Collections to go along with them, I think we’ve had enough for some time. We’d love to have a fourth God of War game, but not anytime soon- this isn’t just what we wish, but also what’s a high possibility. I don’t think Sony will be returning to the GoW franchise this generation, and it’s only logical to think that God of War 4 would be on the PS4.

Gameplay variations

I simply love the Challenge of Hades in God of War. It was so varied, it had a brilliant level design, and some awesome platforming sections. It consisted of both, the high octane action that made God of War so awesome, and a few puzzles and platforming sections here and there that not only gave a break from the relentless swordplay, they were also very enjoyable and well thought out. Later on, God of War started following more of an action take, rather than action adventure. God of War II and III were pure action games. It’d be great to see some gameplay variation in God of War 4, like what we saw in God of War 1. Throw in a little puzzles, platforming sections, time challenges, and balance it all out with the bloody combat, and we have a winner on our hands.

More epic boss battles

From the huge, gigantic Minotaur (or dinotaur, as I like to call it) and the Sisters of Fate to the Colossus of Rhodes and Chronos, God of War has always been known for epic, huge, gigantic boss battles that make your jaw drop. And we expect nothing less than, say, what we got with Chronos (video above) in future God of War games- epic boss battles with huge enemies. God of War III really nailed the boss battles, I think, so I don’t want Santa Monica to improve on anything here. Just bring the awesome boss battles we saw in God of War III back with an even larger scope, perhaps, and GoW4 would be more epic that we can handle.
