Is Cory Barlog up to something? The SIE Santa Monica Studio creative director, perhaps best known for directing God of War, recently tweeted “End Transmission”. This would be enough on its own (in all caps, no less) but he also changed his Twitter bio, profile picture and banner.

The banner seems to be full of stars while the profile picture is a satellite. Odd, for sure, and it could mean nothing. Then again, it could mean Barlog is going dark on Twitter and won’t resurface until…something. What that something could be is anyone’s guess but we’d hazard that “God of War in space” isn’t it, chief.

Of course, the one theory we have it Barlog is indeed laying low until the imminent reveal of the PlayStation 5. It’s been rumored that Sony will host a new PlayStation Meeting in February 2020 to showcase its next-gen console. Maybe Barlog will also be present and have something to present. As always, stay tuned for more details.
