#7. ARES (GOD OF WAR)
A game as incredible as the original God of War needed a memorable final boss to close things off properly, and sure enough, it delivered on that front. Taking on Ares, the God of War himself, feels fittingly momentous, and works just as well on a gameplay level as it does on a story level. Whether you’re trapped in Kratos’ own mind while Ares tortures him with his tragic past or ballooning in size and killing the God of War by using a sword you borrowed from a statue, this boss fight was the perfect way to bring the game to a close.
