#5. ATROPOS AND LAKHESIS (GOD OF WAR 2)
Zeus is Kratos’ final foe in God of War 2, but his fight against Atropos and Lakhesis is probably the game’s best boss encounter. The two Sisters of Fate challenge the Ghost of Sparta as a tag team, and boy do they put up a good fight. The multi-staged encounter throws a number of challenges at Kratos, combining fast-moving enemies with threatening attacks with a healthy mix of patterns, aerial combat, and more, while one sequence in particular also takes Kratos back to the moment of his final fight against Ares- which is an incredibly cool story sequence, if nothing else. All in all, it’s a thrilling rollercoaster of a boss fight that probably ranks as the best that God of War 2 has to offer.
