God of War Goes Gold

No more delays possible anymore.

God of War PS4

Development on God of War is now complete, and the code has been pressed on to the master disc that will be replicated for mass production. There is no turning back now, and no more delays possible- God of War is officially gold.

Director Cory Barlog confirmed this news on his Twitter account earlier today (also sharing a picture of the game’s master disc, which is pretty cool of him). This caps off years of development that have gone into the new upcoming game- which will, if the final game lives up to all of its early showings so far, culminate in what might just be one of the greatest games ever made.

The new God of War continues Kratos’ story by taking him to the realm of Norse myths, where he now has a son as well. It changes the series’ traditional fixed camera to a third person one, and expands the gameplay to become more exploration focused, with the game basically becoming an action RPG now. It is due out on April 20, exclusively on PS4.
