Gran Turismo 6 was announced at the Silverstone Circuit in the United Kingdom on May 15th 2013, and Sony announced that the game would be coming to the PlayStation 3 by Q4 2013. It will feature 33 tracks including the Goodwood Festival of Speed hill climb course, 1200 cars (from sponsors such as Formula One), a brand new engine capable of advanced features such as adaptive tessalation, faster loading times and a more streamlined interface. The game is also rumoured to be arriving on the PlayStation 4 in the future.

The demo for Gran Turismo 6 is currently available on PlayStation Network coinciding with the start of the GT Academy competition.
