Guild Wars 2 Tequatl Rising

In case you’ve been burned by NCSoft’s WildStar, you’ll be happy to know that it’s more successful – and arguably better – MMORPG Guild Wars 2 will be free to play this week. Though the game lacks subscription fees, players still need to buy the game itself in order to play it. The free trial though will let you experience the game from September 25th, 12 AM PDT to October 1st, 11:59 PM PDT.

The good news is, if you have a pre-existing trial account, you can use it here as well. New players will have to make a new trial account though. It should be noted that there will be some chat restrictions and trading for free players though. You can download it here.

Guild Wars 2 has been fairly successful since its launch in August 2012 and as of August 2013, it sold 3.5 million copies with a peak currency of 460,000 users at a time. Will you be taking part in? Let us know in the comments.
