Guilty Gear Strive

The Japan Fighting Game Publishers Roundtable took place recently and had a bevy of announcements for upcoming fighting games. One of those was Arc System Works’ Guilty Gear Strive, which was announced for PlayStation 5 and PC in addition to PS4. It’ll be out in Spring 2021 and received a new trailer with not one but two fighter reveals. Check it out below.

Leo Whitefang is a returning fighter, one of the three “Allied Kings” and known for his over-the-top fighting. Nagoriyuki is more interesting – he’s one of the brand new characters and appeared in the very first trailer for the game. Wielding a large katana, he’s capable of a variety of slashes and combos (which just makes Baiken’s absence that much more pronounced).

Another new character will be revealed in early October. Guilty Gear Strive already has a roster of 12 fighters (with Ramlethal Valentine being the previous reveal) so it should be interesting to see who else could be added. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
