Halo Infinite’s Battle Pass progression has been one of the few areas where the game has been widely criticized by players since its beta launch last week, but many players had been hoping that playing through and making progress in the shooter’s single player campaign would be another avenue for unlocking cosmetics that could be used in the multiplayer. And if a new datamining leak is anything to go by, it seems that while that may be the case, the items that players will be unlocking won’t be entirely satisfactory to everyone.

As shared by @ChazJackal on Twitter, it looks like Halo Infinite’s campaign cosmetic unlocks won’t include armour unlocks for the game’s multiplayer components. There will be a total of 34 unlockables, if this datamine is anything to go by, which will include coatings for weapons, vehicles, and armour, in addition to several emblems, a couple of weapon charms, and one stance.

343 Industries has started fixing the game’s Battle Pass progression, and says that many more fixes are on the way, but given its still-grindy nature, many will no doubt be disappointed that no armour unlocks will be available in the campaign, especially since the vast majority of those in the multiplayer are restricted to the paid Battle Pass. If this is indeed accurate, hopefully 343 Industries will listen to feedback and make necessary changes.

Halo Infinite recently went gold, and will be launching in full for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC on December 8.
