Along with Halo Infinite’s multiplayer receiving new weapons over time, it’s possible that weapon variants from Halo 5: Guardians make a return. HaloNoticiasMX and GreenKnight on Twitter have datamined several different weapon variants for weapons like the Bulldog, Pulse Carbine and Mangler – check them out below.
Weapon variants are essentially modified versions of the current weapon roster. For example, the Convergence Bulldog has a bigger magazine while its pellets have tighter spread while the BR75 Breacher has a smaller magazine than the normal Battle Rifle but a faster fire rate. Then there’s a modified Cindershot whose projectiles seemingly explode like cluster bombs.
Just because these items have been datamined, it doesn’t necessarily mean they’ll be added to the game – they could be remnants from an older build. It isn’t impossible but we won’t know for sure until 343 Industries confirms the same. Regardless, they each look pretty cool.
Halo Infinite’s multiplayer is currently live for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Its campaign launches on December 8th.
