Recently, a new leak emerged on Reddit for 343 Industries’ Halo Infinite, one that seemingly provided details on how the game would play. Though the original poster confirmed it was false, 343 Industries community manager John Junyszek reaffirmed this on Twitter. He encouraged players to “only trust messaging from official @Halo channels.”

Furthermore, Junyszek stated that, “We’re close, just hang in there.” This is more than likely referred to the upcoming July event for Xbox which will see Halo Infinite present. Whether we can expect tons of new information or gameplay footage remains to be seen but it would be odd to not get a few snippets at least. Especially when Halo Infinite is the flagship title for the Xbox Series X.

Taking place right after Halo 5: Guardians, Halo Infinite sees the focus returning to Master Chief who was last seen orbiting a Halo ring. What threats he’ll face and what part previous characters like Cortana will play is still to be confirmed. Halo Infinite is slated to release this holiday season for Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC.
