Psychonauts 2

Double Fine’s latest Psychonauts 2 has finally launched after a long and arduous wait, and fans have been drooling over the gorgeous and imaginative worlds that Tim Schafer and the team have created. On the occasion, head of PlayStation Studios Hermen Hulst took to Twitter to congratulate the team on the achievement.

The road to Psychonauts 2 hasn’t been an easy one, as Double Fine had to resort to crowdfunding to procure development costs for the game. The studio also got acquired by Microsoft amidst development, which reportedly helped quite a bit with the development of the game thanks to the Redmond giant’s deep pockets.

While Psychonauts 2 isn’t an Xbox exclusive, the game doesn’t have a native PS5 version. Xbox Series X is inarguably the best place to play the game, thanks to better visuals and shorter load times. To read our review of Psychonauts 2, click through here.
