Arrowhead Game Studios’ Helldivers 2 has proven a massive success, topping charts in the UK and PlayStation Store sales for February (with CEO Johan Pilestedt teasing three million units sold). It only feels right then that an accolades trailer should be released, highlighting the praise critics have heaped on the title. Check it out below.
As a follow-up to the developer’s 2015 top-down shooter, Helldivers 2 utilizes a third-person perspective and much higher-fidelity visuals. The fundamentals are still the same, though – drop onto planets occupied by Terminids and the new Automatons and wipe them out. Objectives range from raising the flags of Super-Earth to destroying nests and factories.
Despite some launch issues with matchmaking and servers, Helldivers 2 has received multiple updates and features like Planetary Hazards, the new EX-45 Patriot Exosuit and much more.
