Helldivers 2

Arrowhead Game Studios has recently outlined a 60-day plan to address issues with Helldivers 2 following backlash to its Escalation of Freedom update. While many of its plans sound enticing, from updating fire damage and reworking charges to re-examining balance, the studio also outlined some long-term plans for balance changes.

These include creating an opt-in environment for beta testing to “improve our testing processes.” Though it’s a high priority, the studio is also looking into surveys to garner feedback and insights from the community. It’s also looking to provide more context in patch notes regarding changes and their reasoning.

Finally, more blog posts and streams that delve into greater detail on the above are also planned. When Arrowhead will start implementing this remains to be seen, so stay tuned for further updates in the coming months.

Helldivers 2 is available for PS5 and PC and has sold 12 million copies within less than three months of its launch. Check out our review of the launch version here.
