Arrowhead Game Studios has confirmed that Helldivers 2 has gone gold. It’s launching on February 8th for PS5, despite Sony’s CES 2024 presser indicating a delay to February 28th. Check out the launch trailer hyping the fight for freedom here.
As a follow-up to the 2015 overhead shooter, Helldivers 2 uses a third-person perspective and ups the fidelity significantly. The core gameplay remains the same as players venture to alien worlds, be they bugs or hostile Automatons, and spread the message of intergalactic democracy. Between towering foes with sturdy armor and friendly fire from your teammates, a lot gets in the way. Thankfully, if you’re alone, send out an SOS and other players should fill the empty slots.
Helldivers 2 will launch on PS5 and PC, with cross-platform play supported. Check out the PC requirements here, which include a whopping 100 GB of required installation space. You can also check out some co-op gameplay highlighting the Stratagems and their uses here.
