Hitman 3

With the launch of Hitman 3, IO Interactive have now wrapped up the World of Assassination trilogy that they kicked off with the launch of the series’ reboot in 2016. Hitman 3 has been receiving near-universal acclaim (in spite of some issues with its launch), and with just two days on the market, it’s also seen solid commercial success.

IO Interactive recently took to Twitter via its official account and announced that Hitman 3 has had the biggest digital launch ever in the series’ history. There is the question of how the game has performed in terms of physical sales, of course, but it’s good to see that the game’s critical success is being reflected in sales as well.

In our review of Hitman 3, we called it “the peak of the series, of IO Interactive, and of the social stealth genre”, awarding it a score of 9/10. You can read our full review through here.

Hitman 3 is out on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, PC, and Stadia, as well as on the Switch as a cloud-exclusive release.
