HoYoverse released its first animated short for Honkai: Star Rail, the massively successful free-to-play turn-based RPG. It showcases Jing Yuan, one of the seven Arbiter-Generals on the Xianzhou Luofu. Trained to be a Cloud Knight by his master Jingliu, the two would clash after she was stricken by Mara.
The short sees the two battling, flashing back to when Yuan’s training to be a Cloud Knight. He eventually unleashes his power, and Jingliu is seemingly defeated. We then see Yuan training Yanqing and teaching him the way of the Cloud Knights like his master once did.
While Yanqing is available to unlock in the game, Jing Yuan is coming in a future update. Other upcoming characters include Luocha, a medical professional, and Yukong, the Xianzhou Alliance Sky-Faring Commission’s Helm Master. Stay tuned for more details on the exact date of their release.
