miHoYo Games will release the next major update for Honkai: Star Rail with Version 2.3, “Farewell Penacony.” Alongside the conclusion to Penacony’s arc, it also marks the arrival of Firefly as a playable character. Check out the latest trailer below, which also showcases her destructive potential.
Despite debuting in Version 2.0, Firefly is one of the oldest members of the Stellaron Hunters. Created as a clone soldier for the Republic of Glamoth to battle against the Swarm Disaster, she utilizes her Strategic Assault Mech or SAM in combat. Following the Path of the Destruction, she specializes in Break Damage and pairs well with the new Harmony Trailblazer, Gallagher and, ironically enough, Ruan Mei.
Firefly will be available from June 19th to July 10th, with Jade, the next five-star character, taking her place in the second half. Version 2.3 also includes a new Trailblaze Mission, activities and limited-time events for players, so stay tuned when it goes live tomorrow.
