Honkai: Star Rail’s next update, Version 1.4, “Jolted Awake From a Winter Dream,” goes live tomorrow for PC, iOS and Android and coincides with the RPG’s release on PS5. It adds several new characters, the first being the highly-anticipated Jingliu, voiced by AmaLee. As Jing Yuan’s mentor and former sword master of the Xianzhou Luofu, she’s a five-star Destruction character who inflicts damage.
A new trailer is available to showcase her abilities (though a more detailed video is forthcoming), while Jingliu talks about eventually slaying the stars. Based on the recent Myriad Celestia trailer, her philosophy regarding swordplay is to slaughter as many as possible with it rather than seeking fame or fortune.
In-game, her circumstances are a little more complicated as she returns after years away, seemingly to destroy the Abundance. Version 1.4 also adds new areas in Belobog, Aetherium Wars and more. We’ll wait and see how things play out when the update goes live, so stay tuned for more details.
