WANT: DEEPER RPG MECHANICS
Horizon Zero Dawn was technically an action RPG, but let’s be really honest about what it was- it was an action-adventure game with light RPG elements, and even many of those were far too shallow and simplistic. Simply having skill trees and experience points and levelling up might make you an RPG on paper, but we’re hoping Forbidden West will take those things further and be an RPG in spirit as well. Give us far deeper progression mechanics, give us a skill tree that we can’t max out completely in a single playthrough, given us progression options that differ from each other meaningfully. Give us an RPG.
