Horizon Zero Dawn Activities Include Corruption Zones, Hunting and More

Tribes, hunting lodges and more await.

Curious about the various activities in Horizon: Zero Dawn and to what extent Guerrilla Games went to populate its open world with activities? Game Informer has new information on the same and there’s apparently tons to do.

First there’s Corruption Zones, areas containing the most dangerous fights which must be cleared for experience and to make other missions easier. Hunting is required for gathering resources from animals to craft new gear, increasing your inventory space. The same applies to machines which provide upgrades to armour and weapons.

Reps from hunting lodges can also provide challenges throughout the world, pushing you to kill a certain number of animals within a set time. Complete their challenge and you access the hunter’s lodge to ascend to guild’s hierarchy of sorts. There are also various tribes scattered across various areas that contain specific quests and will provide information for the world around you.

Random quests will also materialize in the open world – like finding a spear for an injured man and receiving a spear upgrade in return. The full link is worth a read because it also talks about the various side-quests laced with story that you can complete.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is out on February 28th 2017 for PS4. Thoughts on the game thus far? Let us know in the comments.
