Guerrilla Games was one of the developers to showcase how its upcoming exclusive Horizon: Zero Dawn would look on the PS4 Pro. The results were quite stunning but don’t count on significant differences in the gameplay with the console’s increased power.

Guerrilla Games’ technical director Michiel van der Leeuw told Kotaku that, “It’s just a visual enhancement. It doesn’t drastically change the nature of your games…We do the same calculations. Normally we’re just limited by whatever the TV can display. We remove the cap and all of a sudden there’s something quite beautiful underneath. It doesn’t drastically change a thing. It’s just prettier and nicer, for the enthusiasts who are into that sort of stuff.”

To be fair, Sony hasn’t been claiming that the increased CPU/GPU power will allow for fundamentally different gameplay, instead emphasizing on the improved visuals, coupled with HDR and upscaled 4K graphics. In a way, this helps to reinforce the company line that PS4 players will be able to experience the same kind of gameplay as they would on PS4 Pro.

The PS4 Pro is out on November 10th while Horizon: Zero Dawn releases on February 28th 2017.
