Horizon: Zero Dawn Is Coming To PC – Rumour

Guerrilla Games' open world game might be headed to PC soon.

In a somewhat surprising and unprecedented move, Sony first party title Horizon: Zero Dawn, which Guerrilla Games released for the PS4 in 2017, might be coming to PC very soon- as per a report by Kotaku’s Jason Schreier, who says he’s been informed by three anonymous sources “familiar with Sony’s plans.” This follows another rumour from last month (which, too, was based on Schreier’s words).

No release date it mentioned, though the report mentions that the game will probable be available on both Steam and Epic Games Store (though that has yet to be finalized). One can also assume that Sony will be releasing the Complete Editionwhich also included The Frozen Wilds expansion- though that isn’t something that’s mentioned in the report.

Though Sony-funded PlayStation exclusive titles have been releasing on PC of late – such as Quantic Dreams’ games, ad Kojima Productions’ Death Strandingwhich will be published on PC by 505 Games this Summer – it’s worth noting that both those studios are independently owned, whereas Guerrilla Games is a Sony-owned first party studio. Horizon coming to PC might be hinting at Sony changing its plans for PC as a platform going forward.

Horizon: Zero Dawn is currently available on PS4. As of February 2019, the game had sold over 10 million copies worldwide. A sequel is rumoured to be in development.
