It Takes Two

Hazelight Studios’ It Takes Two received its first gameplay trailer at The Game Awards 2020 but more importantly, a release date was also confirmed. The co-op platformer is out on March 26th 2021 for Xbox One, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC (via Origin and Steam). Check out the trailer below.

The story focuses on Cody and May, a couple who have been having marriage problems. Thanks to a strange spell, they’re turned into dolls and must work to fix their relationship with some help from Dr. Hakim. It’s definitely a more light-hearted experience with several genres mixed together in intriguing ways.

The Friend’s Pass makes a return, allowing players to share their copy of the game with another player for free. Given that this is a co-op only adventure, it makes sense. Couch and online co-op with split-screen play are both supported. More gameplay will likely be revealed in the coming months so stay tuned.
