Sega has a new countdown website for something called “Judgment Day” with developer Ryu ga Gotoku Studio being involved. It counts down to an announcement on May 7th at 7 AM PT with a trailer that’s scheduled to go live on the same day. The image showcased on the website appears to be Kamurocho, a recurring setting for the Yakuza games and Judgment.

Naturally, with the trademark for “Lost Judgment recently surfacing, it’s assumed that the announcement is regarding a sequel to Judgment. The spin-off stars Takayuki Yagami, a defense attorney turned private investigator who looks into a serial killer that could be tied to a case from several years ago. Judgment first launched for PS4 in 2019 but a remastered version for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and Google Stadia is available today.

You can check out our review for it here. The first game may also be getting a PC port alongside any potential sequel news. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
