Following a delay earlier this year and multiple stress tests, Tripwire Interactive’s Killing Floor 3 is finally launching this week for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. You can pre-load it starting today at 9 AM EDT/6 AM PDT, but the option won’t be available for PC players on the Epic Games Store.
The co-op shooter launches at the same time worldwide on July 24th. As a sequel to Killing Floor 2, Tripwire’s latest jumps roughly 70 years ahead into the future and focuses on the conflict between Horzine and Nightfall. The former is a megacorp manufacturing Zeds for nefarious purposes, while the latter has to stop them.
Systems like M.E.A.T. for realistic damage and dismemberment, and Zed Time, where the game slows down, return. However, unlike its predecessor, Killing Floor 3 introduces Specialists, each with unique skills and special abilities. It also features a Supply Pass system for cosmetics similar to Helldivers 2’s Warbonds.
