Konami is Ramping up Recruitment for Internal Development for Projects Including Silent Hill

In addition to working with a number of partners around the globe for upcoming titles, it looks like the Japanese company is also resuming internal development on major projects.

Though it seemed highly unlikely until not that long ago, Konami is indeed making its long-awaited return to the AAA gaming space. Three major upcoming Silent Hill titles announced, and while all three of them are being made in collaboration with external development teams – Bloober Team for Silent Hill 2NeoBards Entertainment for Silent Hill fand No Code and Annapurna Interactive for Silent Hill: Townfall – it seems like Konami is ramping up plans for internal development of titles as well.

The company’s career page on Twitter recently published a tweet calling for job applicants, with a view to recruiting “high-end game creators” on projects including Silent Hill. A number of major positions are open, including Game Director, Art Director, Technical Artist, Animation Programmer, AI Programmer, and more. As you’d expect, specifics on the projects these positions will be applied to aren’t mentioned.

Reports have, of course, claimed that there’s plenty more that Konami is working on beyond what’s been announced, with leaks having repeatedly claimed that revivals for Metal Gear Solid and Castlevania are also in the pipeline. The former will allegedly entail a Metal Gear Solid 3 remake developed by Singapore-based studio Virtuos.

When it comes to Silent Hill, Konami has confirmed that it will continue to work with various external partners around the globe for more new titles going forward. Reportedly, this will also entail additional instalments in a purported anthology series, of which Silent Hill: Townfall is supposed to be the first instalment.
