Insomniac’s take on Spider-Man is an open world title with Manhattan serving as its base. And though it’s considered roughly 1/4^th in scale to the real island, with fictitious streets and numerous sections adjusted, the sheer attention to detail and feeling of exploration provided is incredible. There’s nothing quite like swinging through Central Park or scaling enormous buildings and diving off of them, and the world itself has enough going on to be more than just set dressing.
